Lyster team members, Gwen Gatlin, Chief Nurse, Primary Care Clinic, and Susie Barber, Group Practice Manager, took the opportunity to stimulate fun engaging discussion on safety among staff members during the Safety Stand-Down Day at Lyster Army Health Clinic on October 18 at Fort Novosel. Gatlin, dressed as a safety-cone was among the instructors providing targeted training for clinical operations identifying potential hazards one might find during a patient encounter in her training classroom, “Room of Hazards”. The Lyster staff, along with members of Brown Dental Clinic participated in the safety stand-down which incorporated training scenarios to positively influence patient care and occupational safety.
