PACIFIC OCEAN (September 19, 2023) – U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Randy Sumter, assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-70), from Charleston, S.C., directs an F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to the “Flying Checkmates” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), September 19th, 2023. Theodore Roosevelt is currently out in the Pacific Ocean to conduct training and certifications in preparation for upcoming at-sea evolutions.
