This #FortRileyFriday we're back on the old Cavalry Post looking at the buildings constructed around the turn of the 20th Century.
Building 212 on Custer Avenue was originally constructed as barracks, like the majority of the buildings in this area of Main Post.
It was built in 1903 along with bldg. 208 and its neighbor bldg. 214. Not surprisingly, all three buildings were constructed using native limestone and are nearly identical.
Today, building 212 houses the Defense Military Pay Office, the Soldier For Life Transition Assistance Program and Fort Riley USO's Pathfinder Program.
