A U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base’s, 354th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron is parked loaded with munitions at an undisclosed location in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Oct. 26, 2023. The A-10, also known as the Warthog, is the first aircraft in the U.S. Air Force’s inventory specifically designed for close air support to ground forces.
