The official welcome to the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl started with a barbecue at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Jan. 3. Attendees learned about the bowl's history and significance, and there was a presentation of awards to members of the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the the nation's largest and premier high school football all-star game. The players and musicians chosen to participate mirror the characteristics of army strong soldiers. The Bowl seeks to demonstrate the Army's commitment to America's youth, enhance the Army's connection with American public, highlight the extraordinary men and women who are the nation's army strong soldiers and increase awareness of service opportunities in the Army.Ê(U.S. Army photo by Jade Fulce, Installation Management Command)
