U.S. Navy Memorial hosted by Honor Flight Maine, Oct. 28, 2023. Douglass was assigned to the
Arleigh-Burke Class destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) and was one of six who perished when
the Fitzgerald collided with a cargo ship off the coast of Japan in 2017. Honor Flight Maine is a
non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s Veterans for all their service and
