U.S. Marine Corps Recruit Caitlin Diercks, a recruit with Golf Company, 2nd Recruit training Battalion, faces down range during a table two course of fire at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 31, 2023. The table two course of fire teaches recruits the fundamentals of safety and marksmanship in combat shooting positions and rifle carries. Diercks is a native of Phoenix, Arizona and explained, “There are high expectations for us being females in recruit training.
