U.S. Army Pfc. Timothy Powell, a human resources specialist assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division volunteers at an animal shelter in Zary, Poland, on Nov. 4, 2023. These U.S. Army Soldiers deployed as part of a rotation of forces to Poland to support multinational training and operations and deter adversaries in the European theater. Working at the animal shelter, a valuable service to the community, provides deployed Soldiers with a morale-building event and healthy outlet, particularly for those missing pets back home.
