Ellen Rick, a ground electronics maintenance repair specialist with Marine Rotational Force-Southeast Asia, I Marine Expeditionary Force, takes notes at a fire team and squad operations class during a Corporals Course on Marine Base Rodolfo Punsalang, Palawan, Philippines, Nov. 6, 2023. The course provided the Philippine and U.S. Marines with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to become successful small-unit leaders using realistic problem-based situations that they will encounter. MRF-SEA is a Marine Corps Forces Pacific operational model which involves planned exchanges with subject matter experts, promotes security goals with Allies and partners, and positions I MEF forces west of the International Date Line.
