231107-N-GR586-1089 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 7, 2023) Sailors aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) conduct a foreign object debris walkdown during Multi-Large Deck Event (MLDE). MLDE with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force demonstrates the U.S. Navy’s capability to rapidly aggregate to deliver overwhelming maritime force and increase collective war-fighting readiness. Vinson, flagship of Carrier Strike Group ONE, is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
