Maria Atondo, 409th Air Expeditionary Group airfield management, acts as a simulated patient with injuries for rescue specialists to assess and treat during a training exercise at Air Base 201, Agadez, Niger, Nov. 1, 2023. The participants of the training exercise supported the Warfighter Recovery Network, a U.S. Africa Command initiative to provide rapid and assured casualty evacuation and personnel recovery throughout the AFRICOM area of responsibility.
