Jason Woodworth, the commanding general of Marine Corps Installations West, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton observes the Marine Corps’ 248th birthday pageant and cake cutting ceremony at the 11 Area parade deck on MCB Camp Pendleton, California, Nov. 9, 2023. The event is held annually to celebrate the Marine Corps’ history and birthday. It showcases Marine Corps and Navy uniforms from past and present eras and consists of a traditional cake cutting ceremony. Woodworth is a native of Suffield, Connecticut.
