Advisors from 5th SFAB (MCAT 5320) had conducted joint training with the 112th Stryker Regimental Combat Team, 11th Infantry Division, Royal Thai Army on degraded environment fire support. This training is a part of an ongoing effort to strengthen partnership and capabilities within the Indo-Pacific. The fire support training focused on the ability to call for fire in a degraded environment with the Infantrymen assigned to 1st Infantry Rifle Company, 112th SRCT. This consisted of accurately determining distance and direction as well as locating a position on a map within a 100-meter target location error. This training will assist Soldiers in the ability to accurately conduct fire missions but to also accurately provide front line traces to the 112th SRCT leadership during any future operations.
