U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jullian Valladares, an aircraft electrical systems technician, receives a manual from Lance Cpl. Jihan Burrage, a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic both with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 232, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 12, 1st Marine Air Wing, during the field training exercise portion of Resolute Dragon (RD) 23 at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 25, 2023. VMFA-232, based out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, participated in RD 23 as a unit deployment squadron under MAG-12. RD 23 is an annual bilateral exercise that strengthens III Marine Expeditionary Force, Japan Self-Defense Forces, and the United States joint force’s command, control, fires, and multi-domain maneuver capabilities as part of a stand-in force.
