Soldiers and civilians attend the Socom Athlete program's Hell Day Event in Dania Beach, on Veterans Day 2023. The Hell Day events are designed to put particpants through the rigors that they'll experience when trying out at the various selction events for special forces, regardless of branch. The beach portion places participants through a circuit of events, like log carries, boat carry and retrieval, and a down-pilot exercise. The Florida Army National Guard's own 3rd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group sent soldiers down to support the event as instructors, and so they could motivate and inform candidates on what will be required of them to become a special forces operator.
