231115-N-JC800-1059 SINGAPORE (Nov. 15, 2023) – Rear Adm. Mark A Melson, Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific/Task Force 73 (COMLOG WESTPAC/ CTF 73), left, U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Abigail Bishop (center), and U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Carola List, Commander, Operational Logistics Command, are all smiles after signing a new memorandum of agreement (MOA) to secure a U.S. Coast Guard LNO (liaison naval officer) billet within COMLOG WESTPAC. Bishop will be the first officer to serve in the inaugural role. COMLOG WESTPAC supports deployed naval forces along with regional allies and partners, to sustain patrols in the Indo-Pacific, participation in naval exercises and responses to natural disasters.
