Philippine Marine Corps Sgt. Norman Pintor, with 3rd Marine Brigade shares his perspective on mental health at a warrior toughness subject matter expert exchange during KAMNDAG 7 on Marine Base Rodolfo Punsalang, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines, Nov. 17, 2023. U.S. and Philippine service members discussed mental health and its effects on the individual warfighter and what similarities both nations have in regards to the topic. KAMANDAG is an annual Philippine Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps-led exercise aimed at improving bilateral readiness and mutual capabilities in the advancement of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. This year marks the seventh iteration of this exercise and includes participants from Japan, the Republic of Korea, and observers from the United Kingdom. Marine Rotational Force-Southeast Asia is a Marine Corps Forces Pacific operational model that involves exchanges with subject matter experts, promotes security goals with Allies and Partners, and positions I Marine Expeditionary Force forces west of the International Date Line.
