U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Duane R. Miller, the U.S. Army Provost Marshal General, and commanding general of Army Corrections Command, accompanied by his senior enlisted advisor Command Sgt. Maj. Shawn Klosterman, host family and friends of Sgt. Ashly L. Moyer and Spc. Daniel L. Elliott, during a public wreath laying and remembrance ceremony, at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., Nov. 14, 2023. Moyer, assigned to the 630th Military Police Company, Bamberg, Germany, died in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, March 3, 2007, in Baghdad, when an improvised explosive device detonated near her vehicle. Elliott, assigned to the 290th Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, was killed in support of Operation New Dawn, July 15, 2011, in Basra, Iraq, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
