U.S. Navy Sailors, assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58), monitor the dry cargo ship USNS Alan Bartlett Shepard’s (T-AKE 3) fuel probe during a replenishment-at-sea in the Arabian Gulf Dec. 1, 2023. Deployed as part of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (IKECSG), the Philippine Sea is ready to respond to a range of contingencies in support of national security priorities. IKECSG is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to help ensure maritime security and stability in the Middle East Region.
