U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 268, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st
Marine Aircraft Wing, provide static displays and tours of MV-22B Ospreys for New
Zealand-based journalists, Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Dec. 1, 2023. The U.S. Embassy in New Zealand brought eight New Zealand and Pacific Island-based journalists to Oahu with a goal of providing these journalists with an increased understanding of the INDOPACOM area of responsibility, and specifically Department of Defense support to the Pacific Island Countries. During this visit, these journalists met with leaders from each of the U.S. Component Commands, and had the opportunity to visit units and see their equipment, and to meet with service members to increase their understanding of the role they play in the Pacific.
