The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport Fall 2023 Submarine Combat Systems Course featured a 30-minute roundtable discussion on Nov. 17, 2023, by panel members Mike Cockey (from left), a retired U.S. Navy captain and deputy director of undersea warfare at NUWC Headquarters; Rebecca Chhim, acting NUWC Division Newport technical director and head of the USW Combat Systems Department; and NUWC Division Newport Commanding Officer Capt. Chad Hennings. The course, held Nov. 13-17, also featured technical briefings from subject matter experts who focused on how Division Newport is contributing to warfighter readiness in an era of strategic competition.
