Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard's 1131st and 1132nd Engineer Detachment drill wells in Ethiopia. The 1131st and 1132nd Engineer Detachment make up two of the three North Carolina well-drilling units. Members of these units are currently drilling wells for drinking water and for irrigation in Djibouti and nearby countries located in northeast Africa.
