Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Sgt. David Deremo, 436th Transport Squadron loadmaster, prepares to release a bundle from an RCAF C-130J Super Hercules over Faraulep, Federated States of Micronesia, Dec. 7, 2023, during Operation Christmas Drop 2023 (OCD 23). Under the leadership of the U.S. Air Force 36th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, OCD 23 is poised to be a milestone in the mission’s history as a fleet of C-130J Super Hercules and C-130H Hercules aircraft, along with crews from the U.S., Japan, the Republic of Korea, and for the first time ever, Canada, come together to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
