    Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Carey, the senior enlisted advisor for 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, gives a coin of excellence to Staff Sgt. Jack Boyle, a cavalry scout assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 6th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment during his reenlistment ceremony Dec. 7, 2023 at Fort Bliss, Texas. Staff Sgt. Boyle, a Melissa, Texas native, honored the rich history of the Cavalry Corps by reciting the oath of enlistment on horseback while wearing the traditional 1874 Cavalry uniform. Staff Sgt.
