Recruits with November Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, earn their Eagle, Globe, and Anchor aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C., Dec. 9, 2023. The EGA Ceremony serves as the pivotal moment recruits are called U.S. Marines.
Following the formal ceremony, the new Marines recieve a speech from their Company First Sergeant, First Sgt. Smathe Toles on the illustrious history of the Marine Corps and their responsibility to uphold its core values of honor, courage, and commitment .
