Airmen from an Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron prepare a BAK-12 aircraft arresting system for installation within the Central Command area of responsibility, Nov. 21, 2023. The aircraft arresting system was relocated to amplify mission readiness by supporting fighter aircraft from the north and south approach of the runway in the event of an in-flight emergency situation.
