231208-N-CU072-1003 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 8, 2023) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Nicholas Piccolo, from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, right, and Chief Hospital Corpsman Jameson Basa, from Manila, Philippines, treat a simulated patient during training for a joint drill onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Dec. 8, 2023. This is the 16th joint drill between the Government of Japan, City of Yokosuka, and U.S. Navy. The drill, led by Commander, Submarine Group Seven and Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), simulated a response to a damaged building onboard CFAY from an earthquake on the Miura Peninsula.
