231209-N-EE352-1013 PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 9, 2023) Sailors participate in a freshwater wash down aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70). Freshwater wash downs ensure all exterior spaces are rinsed to prevent salt corrosion. Hopper, assigned to Carrier Strike Group ONE, is deployed to U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
