Les Sobol, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, explains community outreach programs that are hosted by Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) to the Japan Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Yasushi Hosaka and other representatives of the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) during an office call with Rear Adm. Carl Lahti, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Japan / Commander, Navy Region Japan. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
