    231216-N-PV401-1006 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Dec. 16, 2023) Sailors aboard Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG-59) hold onto a phone-and-distance (P&D) line during a fueling-at-sea with Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202). The P&D line is used to measure distances between ships while transferring items and fuel. Princeton is assigned to Carrier Strike Group 1 and deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
