On June 6, 1944, Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France to fight Nazi Germany
Today, we remember the more than 9,000 Allied Soldiers, Sailors, Coast Guardsman, and Marines who gave their lives during the invasion. It was because of their sacrifices, that the Allies were able to eventually win the war.
