A painted eight-cylinder Humvee engine block lays on a litter before a memorial ruck for GUNDAM 22 at Air Base 201, Niger, Dec. 16, 2023. The deployed members of the 724th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron vehicle maintenance flight chose to honor the eight-member GUNDAM 22 crew, who lost their lives in a recent CV-22 Osprey mishap in Japan, in a way fitting for mechanics by carrying the engine one mile for each member of the fallen crew.
