231222-N-BR551-1071 OKINAWA, Japan (Dec. 22, 2023) – Builder 2nd Class Ryan Lamarre, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, reads an on-screen slide aloud for the battalion during a training stand-down. The training stand-down included safety training, sexual assault traing and prevention training, diversity and inclusion training, and localised environmental stewardship training. NMCB 4 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region to support and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific. As the stand-in, crisis response, naval engineering force, NMCB 4 maintains a ready posture to deliver in-theater expeditionary logistics via expeditionary shore infrastructure, forward damage repair, and mobile construction.
