A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon known as ‘Venom’, assigned to the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, undergoes maintenance for its final flight at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Dec. 11, 2023. The first operational F-16, the A model, was used in 1979 in the 388th Tactical Wing at Hill AFB. Since then, the force has improved and adapted to the upgraded F-16C and D models widely used today.
