Royal Air Force Airmen conduct pre-flight checks on a Royal Air Force A400M, Atlas transport aircraft, Dec. 20, 2023, at an undisclosed location within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The Atlas has the ability to carry a 37-ton payload over 2,000 nautical miles to established and remote airfields, along with short unprepared strips.
