Leadership from North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command's Cyberspace Operations joint directorate (J6) requested a logo be created incorporating a few key elements that include: U.S. and Canadian flags to highlight the nation's only bi-national command; the phrase "We Have The Watch" which is the commands' motto representing the 24 hours a day, 365 days a year mission of keeping North America safe; the lightning bolt to represent the power, energy and speed of cyber operations, and finally a large J6 to show the directorate. The design has been used on letterhead and as a logo for the J6 directorate to adorn briefings, posters and other correspondence from the directorate.
