U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Dec. 14, 2023) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (handling) 3rd Class Mason Whitehead, assigned to Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), signals to an AV-8B Harrier, attached to Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron 162 (reinforced), to launch off of the ship’s flight deck in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations, Dec. 14.
