U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Matthew T. Good, Deputy Commander, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, Marine Forces Command, Marine Forces Northern Command, provides closing remarks following his promotion ceremony aboard Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, Virginia, January 3, 2024. During the ceremony, U.S. Navy Vice Adm. James Kilby, Deputy Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, promoted Good to the rank of brigadier general from colonel, with colleagues, friends, and family in attendance. To commemorate this significant milestone, his family affixed the brigadier general uniform insignia – a single silver star – to the collars of his Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform (MCCUU).
