U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Hector Rodriguez, the 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade support operations noncommissioned officer in charge, greets the Powidz, Poland community after volunteering to portray one of the Three Kings Day principle figures during a break in training and operations, Jan. 6, 2023. Rodriguez reminisced about how important the day was for his family and volunteered to portray one of the three wise men, making an entrance at the parade on a community member’s boat. Attendees followed the wise men and Santa to the community church where they enjoyed holiday music by the Gumowe Szekle band. These Soldiers are currently deployed to Poland to support training with allies, set the theater for sustainment operations on NATO's eastern flank, and to deter aggression in Europe.
