Sgt. Brandon Griffis, a native of Pendleton, Ind., and Spc. Kevin Wilcox, a native of Clarksville, Tenn., pull security during a patrol in Hurriyah, March 20. The Soldiers of conduct joint patrols with the Iraqi army often, in an attempt to quell insurgent activity to help improve the economy, governance, infastructure and civil services of Hurriyah. Griffis and Wilcox both serve with 1st Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
