EAGLE PASS, Texas-- Texas Army National Guard supporting Operation Lone Star along the Texas-Mexico border surpassed 1 million mission total events last week. The milestone occurred during the final days of 2023 to close out the third calendar year of the operation. A line of buoys float in the moonlight demonstrating another layer of barrier. Protecting the border takes Soldier skills and innovation. Texas National Guard and State Guard work around the clock with law enforcement partners to prevent, deter, and interdict criminal elements from crossing into the US.
