U.S. Army Col. Michael Weisman, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) public affairs director, addresses the audience during a Joint Task Force (JTF) Symposium at the Sigholtz Center on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Jan. 19, 2024. The JTF Symposium was held to capture cross-staff lessons learned from multiple JTF deployments and codify the knowledge gained into usable improvements to SETAF’s crisis response operations. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe and Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis-response options in Africa and Europe.
