U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Bryan Shibley, an air officer with 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group uses an Android Tactical Assault Kit to validate joint and coalition targeting processes, during a deployed virtual training environment for fire support coordination training, at JGSDF Camp Yufuin, Oita, Japan, Dec. 14, 2023. The bilateral training focused on the ability of a combined force to coordinate air and surface fire support. DVTE is a portable simulator that enables role-players to be immersed in real-world scenarios to facilitate live fire training. Shibley is a native of San Diego.
