An F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 114th Fighter Wing taxis through the fresh water wash during Operation Seawolf, a joint maritime Agile Combat Employment exercise at Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, California, Jan. 24, 2024. The aircraft undergo the freshwater wash, also known as a bird bath, at the end of each flying day to help combat saltwater corrosion and buildup of sediment after flying maritime missions in saltwater environments.
