Navy Capt. John H. Nadeau, battalion surgeon, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, and Abd Al Hakim, the mayor of Haditha, Iraq, cast the first shovel of dirt Wedsnesday during the ground-breaking ceremony for the hospital in Haditha. The hospital, which was damaged by an insurgent explosion, is being restored and new facilities will be offered to the people. The new facilities will include a new administrative wing, more hospital beds, a new air conditioning system and a new surgery facility for the patients.
