U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Nicole McConnell, 51st Operations Support Squadron radar approach control assistant chief controller, receives simulated information requiring her section to relocate to an alternate duty location during Beverly Midnight 24-1, at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Jan. 29, 2024. During the scenario, the RAPCON section of the 51st OSS suffered a cyberattack and all electronics were unusable requiring all members to relocate and reestablish operations in an alternate facility. BM24-1 is a routine training event that tests the military capabilities across the peninsula, allowing combined and joint training at both the operational and tactical levels.
