U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Lisa J. Hou, D.O., The Adjutant General of New Jersey, has her major general stars pinned on by her father, Beinhard Hou; New Jersey Gov. Philip D. Murphy; her sister, Cynthia Hou, and her nephew, Christian Chen at the National Guard Armory in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Feb. 3, 2024. Hou commands more than 8,400 Soldiers and Airmen of the New Jersey National Guard. As Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Hou leads, directs, and manages the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs in the execution of federal and state missions.
