On Jan. 26, the 3d Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and a brass quintet from The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” supported the promotion ceremony for Lt. Gen. Michele H. Bredenkamp.
Lt. Gen. Bredenkamp was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general, having recently assumed the role of director's advisor for military affairs in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in Washington, D.C. The event was hosted by General Paul M. Nakasone, commander of the United States Cyber Command and director of the National Security Agency/Chief of the Cyber Security Service.
Military District of Washington Commanding General Maj. Gen. Trevor Bredenkamp assisted their children in affixing Lt. Gen. Bredenkamp's new three-star rank to her uniform during the ceremony.
