    Dr. Steph Frye-Clark plays the tuba at a recital during the annual Tuba-Euphonium Workshop presented by The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" at Patton Hall Community Club and Conference Center on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Va., Feb. 2, 2024. Dr. Frye-Clark is a highly sought-after and internationally recognized performer and educator. They are currently Associate Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at East Tennessee State University, where they have been on faculty since 2013. Dr. Frye-Clark is regarded as a leading commissioner and performer of queer-centered identity composers and is breaking ground for underrepresented commissions. Recently, they were awarded a Research Development Grant from ETSU for a qualitative research/recording project featuring the works of LGBTQ2S+ composers. (U.S. Army photo by Bernardo Fuller)
