240205-N-PV401-1199 PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 5, 2024) Interior Communications Specialist 3rd Class Britt Shaw, from Jacksonville, Florida, holds steady a phone-and-distance (P&D) line during a replenishment-at-sea aboard Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59). The P&D line is used to measure distances between ships while transferring supplies and fuel. Princeton is assigned to Carrier Strike Group ONE and deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
